Conference & Professional Development

I am looking forward to attending the upcoming NASS Superintendents’ Academy in Lake Tahoe alongside Carissa and Jasmine. Our primary focus will be acquiring strategies for student-centered learning to ensure our classrooms remain highly engaging and relevant for today's learners and tomorrow’s graduates.

Grants & District Innovation

A massive thank you to Maria Sauter, Jasmine Simental, and Winifred Sanderson, who have been working tirelessly behind the scenes. Their efforts in securing a wide variety of grant funding will directly further our transition toward district-wide, student-centered learning.

Summer School Update

Preparations are fully underway for our upcoming Summer School program, running from June 15th through June 25th. This year’s curriculum is intentionally designed to support our broader shift toward student-centered learning—providing highly engaging, interactive, and targeted support to keep academic momentum going strong. We look forward to welcoming our students back for this valuable extended-learning window.

Academic Progress & Student Placement Data

Our latest reading data demonstrates excellent academic growth across the district. In short: more students are reading at or above grade level, and far fewer are falling behind. Through targeted classroom interventions and the hard work of our educators, we have successfully moved a significant percentage of our most vulnerable readers out of high-risk categories while steadily increasing our total number of proficient, on-grade-level readers. This positive momentum provides strong validation for our continuing shift toward student-centered learning. (See attached reading and math data)
