In partnership with the Nevada Department of Public Safety, the SafeVoice program provides students a safe place to submit tips concerning their own safety or that of others. A fully trained professional team of experts responds in an appropriate manner 24/7/365. Tips always stay anonymous. Superintendent’s Board Report for April 2024

Important Dates:

Goldfield Literacy Night/Book Fair Mar. 28th-Apr. 4th - Literacy night & bookfair

Dyer Literacy Night/Book Fair Apr. 4th-15th - Literacy night & bookfair

Easter Week Late Start April 1st - School Starts at 10:00 AM

School Board Meeting April 9th  - Goldfield 5:00 PM

SBAC Testing Apr. 22th-May 2nd  - Exact Testing Dates Announced Locally

General Comments: During quarter 4 many unique activities are coming up, to include MAPS testing, SBAC testing, Mustang Round Up, EsCSD Track Meet, and graduations. We are excited to see all of our friends from the community and will post to our website, Facebook, and letters home about important events, celebrations, and special events. 

PLC/Safety Committee: As staff have worked together one critical component is how those relationships are working. From our latest District Climate Survey, EsCSD has rated excellent in all 5 categories! This is an accomplishment we are proud to announce. 

District Facilities and Bus Update: The new bus for Goldfield is finally arriving. April marks not only the arrival of our new wheelchair equipped bus for Goldfield, but also the purchase and delivery of our newest bus in the Dyer fleet of buses. We have also successfully liquidated many older vehicles, including 3 buses headed to Belize in Central America to provide transportation to people who need them.

Superintendent/Board: Superintendents are working on modifications to our end of year mandatory testing. Along with NDE and the Governor, we are reducing the overload of required testing to a more manageable level. The superintendent has visited every classroom in the district multiple times, and both classrooms and teachers are working hard, and do great things. EsCSD is a district its families can  be proud of.
